The famous lighthouse has been transformed into a tribute to Bardot, featuring artwork that was created using two photographs for her 90th birthday celebrations in 2024. Organised by the town and Saint-Tropez Couleur Bleu, its co-founder Agnès Bouquet said: “Our thoughts naturally go to Bernard d’Ormale, her discreet and beloved husband; to the members of the Brigitte Bardot Foundation, those devoted supporters who have been committed to the cause for 30 years and who will come to say their final farewell; to its very active President, Ghyslaine Calmels-Bock; to her four-legged friends, undoubtedly left feeling her absence; to her companions in the same shared belief, including Captain Paul Watson, a radical captain and committed anti-speciesist, who knew Bardot more than 50 years ago… but above all to those who will continue her path, her work, her fight, and honour the extraordinary legacy of the woman who said she possessed an animal soul.”
