Both Cinema Casino and CinePlanet show the latest releases. The Cinema Casino also sometimes shows favourite, old classics and arthouse films. For the budget-conscious, in general the Cinema Casino’s tickets are less costly. Be aware when booking at Cineplanet that some of their screening rooms are more expensive than others.
Both venues offer subscriber options that reduce ticket prices.
Insider Tips on Watching English-Language Films in France:
- To ensure the screening you watch is in English, look out for VO or VOST (version originale sous-titrée) which means those films are screened in their original language with French sub-titles. (VF denotes the French dubbed version.)
- Be aware that even if you’ve gone to an original English screening, if any other language is spoken during the film, the subtitles will be in French, not English.
- You may not always recognise your favourite international film by its name. Sometimes it’s given a new name in France eg. Inside Out 2 is known in France as Vice Versa 2.
