The Next White Lotus will be Filmed on the French Riviera and in Paris, says Variety

The White Lotus is set to film its fourth season on the French Riviera, and in Paris, according to Variety. UPDATE: Next White Lotus location: Saint-Tropez, Château de la Messardière. UPDATE: White Lotus is heading to Cannes Film Festival, Saint-Tropez and Monaco.

The entertainment magazine says it “has learned that the hit Mike White anthology will indeed next shoot in the country and has even been actively scouting swank locations in two iconic locations: Paris and the French Riviera.”

Similarly to how Season 3 was shot mainly in Koh Samui with some scenes in Bangkok, it’s believed that Season 4 will be primarily set on the beautiful Côte d’Azur, with some filming in Paris.

No White Lotus confirmation from HBO yet, BUT…

There’s no official confirmation from HBO yet, but CANAL+ (which screens White Lotus in France, along with HBO MAX), did repost the Variety story this afternoon (Thursday 30 October 2025) along with a headline saying: “The White Lotus will film its Season 4 in Paris and on the Côte d’Azur.”

Canal+ said in its caption: “We already loved The White Lotus — but if it’s set here on our turf, even better… 😍” (Déjà qu’on aimait The White Lotus mais alors si en plus ça se passe chez nous”

According to Variety, HBO has not renewed its partnership with the Four Seasons hotel chain (whose high-end resorts were used in Seasons one to three, in Hawaii, Sicily and Thailand). This dashes earlier rumours (and hopes) that filming would take place at Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat. Fans had presumed the luxury Four Seasons hotel would be the next White Lotus destination.

No new hotels have been confirmed yet, although location scouts were reportedly seen at Le Lutetia and the Ritz in Paris; and White Lotus creator Mike White was spotted on the Riviera over the summer, allegedly holidaying at the famous Negresco Hotel in Nice.

Filming is only expected to start next year for the most luxurious murder mystery series on television.
