Princess Charlene of Monaco joined the ‘Women with Purpose’ luncheon at the iconic Café de Paris on Monday, 16 June, during the 64th Monte-Carlo Television Festival.
Hosted by Swiss fashion house Akris, ‘Women with Purpose’ honours women who shape a more inclusive world. The event welcomed actress, producer and director Robin Wright who is set to receive the Crystal Nymph from Princess Charlene at tomorrow’s closing ceremony.

Robin was selected to receive the prestigious award in recognition of her contributions to television and storytelling—an art form that, like fashion, reflects and reimagines society.
Akris, which was founded in 1922, has long championed female strength. The ‘Women with Purpose’ initiative was launched by the luxury brand as a tribute to its trailblazing founder, Alice Kriemler-Schoch. Today, Alice’s legacy is carried forward by her grandson Albert Kriemler, artistic director of the Swiss brand which is worn by royalty, presidents and powerhouses, in the boardroom and on the red carpet.
The luncheon brought together an intimate circle of women (and a couple of men) whose work is shaping a more “just, inclusive, and equal world”, according to Monaco Palace.

It was a “powerful moment celebrating women who inspire, act and change the world”, said the Palace.
It was, in every sense, a celebration of women who lead not by title or trend, but by action.
