2025 Michelin Star Restaurants on the French Riviera

The 2025 MICHELIN France Guide was unveiled on 31 March 2025, at a ceremony in Metz, in the Moselle region of France, where a total of 68 new restaurants were recognised by the prestigious guide. These were the newly awarded restaurants on the Côte d’Azur.

New Michelin-starred restaurants on the French Riviera:

The following restaurants on the Côte d’Azur each make their debut in the gourmet Guide this year. Congratulations!

The Abysse Monte-Carlo – Monaco (at the Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo)

A delighted Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer described the Abysse as a “true temple of the Art of Sushi”, and revealed that this accolade comes just a few months after the restaurant’s opening.

ONE MICHELIN STAR

  • Arnaud Donckele & Maxime Frédéric at Louis Vuitton – Saint Tropez
  • At Jeannette – Flassans-sur-Issole (less than an hour from Saint Tropez)
  • Auberge Quintessence – Roubion (an hour’s drive inland of Nice)
  • Elsa – Monaco (at Monte-Carlo Beach)
  • La Palme d’Or (at the Martinez Hotel) – Cannes
  • Mareluna – Théoule-sur-Mer

The Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer applauded Elsa for earning this star “just one year after Chef Marcel Ravin took over the helm”.

At the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort, Blue Bay Marcel Ravin also received the 2025 Passion Dessert Award. (The Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer is the most Michelin-starred Resort in Europe, with a total of 10 Michelin stars.)

The Martinez Hotel said tonight: “Less than a year after its reopening in May 2024 La Palme d’Or restaurant by Jean Imbert is honoured to receive its first Michelin star, a distinction that celebrates the talent and dedication of both the kitchen and dining teams, united around the chef @jeanimbert. Thank you to our producers, artisans and everyone who brings this restaurant to life every day. This achievement marks a new chapter in the story of La Palme d’Or.”

The 2025 Michelin guide (the 125th edition!) recognised in total:

  • two new 3-star restaurants (Le Coquillage in Saint-Méloir-des-Ondes and chef Christopher Coutanceau in La Rochelle)
  • nine new 2-star restaurants, and
  • 57 new 1-star restaurants.
