Best Kids’ Birthday Party Venues on the Côte d’Azur

Are you planning a children’s birthday party on the French Riviera and don’t know where to start? Well luckily the Côte d’Azur is home to a variety of fun settings, from adrenaline-packed outdoor parks to indoor activity centres.  Whether you live in Cannes, Mougins, Nice or Monaco, there are many venues offering wonderful birthday experiences for families.

1
Le Bois des Lutins, Villenouve-Loubet

Situated between Antibes and Nice, Le Bois des Lutins is one of my favourite outdoor parks on the Riviera, both for its playful elf-themed attractions and its giant treehouses perched high in the trees. Is your child turbo-charged from morning to night? Then this is the right place for an energetic birthday celebration. The park features dozens of fabulous attractions including climbing structures, giant slides, zip lines and unusual playground challenges.

Your birthday package will include entry to the park for all your guests and a reserved marquee where families can celebrate. You are free to bring your own decorations, cake, snacks and drinks.

Best for: Children aged 5–11.

2
Pitchoun Forest, Villeneuve-Loubet

Located in Villeneuve-Loubet right next to Le Bois des Lutins, Pitchoun Forest is a charming treetop adventure park designed especially for younger children. Set among the trees and equipped with a continuous safety lifeline system, it allows even the smallest adventurers to experience the excitement of accrobranche, the popular French forest climbing activity.

Children can begin exploring the courses, moving from tree to tree while discovering the forest environment in a playful and engaging way.

Along the routes, young climbers will encounter a variety of fun challenges including zip lines, rope bridges, climbing sections and net tunnels, encouraging both confidence and coordination while they play.

The entrance ticket gives access to five different courses, each designed to offer a safe yet exciting progression through the trees.

Practical Information

  • Children aged 3–6: It is recommended that an adult accompanies them in the trees.
  • Clothing: This is a physical outdoor activity, so comfortable sportswear is required. Closed trainers are essential.
  • Supervision: Adults must stay within the park while supervising children.
  • Gloves: Wearing gloves is recommended. You may bring your own (such as gardening gloves), or they are available for purchase for €2.
  • Birthday Party: There are picnic tables and benches right outside the venue but you will have to bring your own balloons, food and drinks.

Best for: Children aged 4 and over (minimum height 1m).
Cost: 17.50€ per person.

3
Eklabul, Vallauris

For a celebration filled with creativity and imagination, Eklabul Kids is well known for circus-themed birthday experiences. But they can also offer tailor-made birthday themes, to suit budding magicians or Captain America fans. And of course a bouncy castle is always on hand to enable the kids to let off some steam.

Children are introduced to juggling, balance tricks and simple acrobatics in playful workshops led by professional entertainers. Many celebrations conclude with a disco, games and a mini performance, where the young guests proudly show off their new skills.

You can choose to have a themed birthday party at home and they will take care of all the decoration. Or you may decide to host it in their dedicated space between Antibes and Vallauris, and avoid the after-party chaos. And that’s exactly what I just did for my daughter’s 8th birthday party!

Best for: Children aged 6–10.
Cost: from 590€ for up to 12 children (incl. one instructor), 790€ for up to 24 children (incl. two instructors).

4
Circus Party, Mougins

Even though this could well be some parents’ worst nightmare, no birthday venue list would be complete without Circus Party, a children’s favourite. And yes it can get super busy and super noisy, but your kids will most certainly love it and have the best time. If you want to retain your sanity, try and book the morning session which tends to be less crazy.

Kids can choose from giant slides, climbing structures, overhead net tunnels and trampolines. As well as a disco, there’s an area reserved for toddlers only and a go-kart circuit. Birthday packages can include sweet snacks and drinks or lunch and birthday cake options.

Best for: Children aged 2 to 11.
Cost: From 18€ per child.

They can choose from the Jump Tower with Airbag, the Wall Walk, various Trampolines, and the Slam Dunk area for amateurs of basketball.
Birthday packages include 1 to 2 hours of fun activities followed by 45 minutes to enjoy snack, drinks and a birthday cake, seated around a large table.

6
Oceanographic Museum, Monaco

Children will enjoy a festive and enriching afternoon immersed in the wonders of marine life. At the “Touch Pool” workshop, they can hold a starfish, gently stroke a baby shark, or brush against the delicate spines of sea urchins.

Depending on their age, the experience continues with interactive games among the aquariums or a fun-filled workshop around Turtle Island. The celebration concludes with the much-anticipated birthday cake, served in the restaurant on the panoramic terrace, creating beautiful memories for both the birthday child and the guests.

Best for: Children of all ages.
Cost: Contact the Museum to get a quote (dependent on number of children and choice of activities).

7
Laser Game Evolution, Mougins

Finally, no birthday list venue would be complete without including a Laser Game. Laser Game Evolution is an action-packed shooting game where players compete, either individually or in teams, to score as many points as possible.

When you arrive, you get to pick your nickname, choose your game mode, form your teams, slip on your vest and dive right in! Classic laser game sessions are available from 6 players. Whatever the number of players, you can choose to play solo (every player for themselves) or divide participants into different teams.

Best for: Children aged 6 and over (or minimum 1.20m tall).
Cost: From 16.50€ per person for one 20 minute laser game.
For more information, please click here.

INSIDER TIP: If you’re looking for something a bit more exotic (pardon the pun!), the newly re-opened Exotic Garden of Monaco can be privatized for birthday parties. But it doesn’t come cheap, a half-day rental of the Kroenlein Room will cost from 1200€ for up to 165 people.
