Body of Monaco Explosion Suspect is Found Near Kyiv

The body of the female suspect in the Monaco explosion, which rocked the principality last Monday evening 29 June 2026, has been found near Kyiv in the Ukraine, according to news reports.

Thirty-nine-year-old Anastasiia Berezovska, who was born in Ukraine, had been identified on Interpol as one of the world’s most wanted criminals following the attack which left three people seriously injured, including a wealthy Ukranian businessman.

Berezovska was charged with attempted murder, placing an explosive device in a public place with criminal intent, and criminal conspiracy. Officials ruled that the attack was not linked to terrorism.

Prince Albert II of Monaco had responded to the parcel bomb explosion in Monaco immediately, saying in the early hours of last Tuesday morning: “The criminal explosion that occurred this evening in Monaco is a shock for the entire Monegasque community. My thoughts go first to the victims, to their loved ones and to the residents directly affected by this brutal act.”

Interpol said the suspect held Ukranian nationality but spoke German, and according to reports she is believed to have been living in Germany before the attack.

Born on 26 June 1987, Interpol revealed the dark-haired woman’s identifying feature was a tattoo (possibly a snake) on her right arm from her shoulder to her elbow.

The three victims were transported to hospitals in Nice. Le Figaro identified them as 58-year-old Ukrainian oligarch, Vadim Ermolaev, his partner of many years and their 13-year-old son.
