Dance Festival Cannes Côte d’Azur

Festival de Danses – Cannes Côte d’Azur becomes an annual celebration from 2025, a testament to the awe the dance festival continually inspires. We were blown away this week by an energetic and incredibly moving performance by the young German stars of Trailer Park (Tanzmainz / Moritz Ostruschnjak).

In Cannes, art is not optional. Already famous for its films, Cannes is also becoming a centre for dance (renowned already for its Rosella Hightower International Dance School which trains young talents for global stages).

The festival brings dance to life in all its diversity, from amateur to professional (including the National Ballet of Spain), with performances spanning classical traditions and contemporary creations.

This year, Artistic Director Didier Deschamps has invited 24 companies from 8 countries – including Spain, South Africa, Belgium, Germany and Italy — with several world premieres on the programme.

Performances are being held not only at Cannes’ famous Palais des Festivals, but across the town and the region: Antibes, Mougins, Grasse, Carros, Nice, Fréjus, Draguignan, and more.
