To find out how to make the process seamless, we sat down with seasoned Riviera real estate agent Harald Starke, Founder & President of Riviera Keys, who specialises in helping non-residents find their own piece of paradise in the South of France.
What inspired you to start a real estate agency on the Riviera?
Riviera Keys was founded with a simple idea: to help people — especially Northern Europeans — find their place in the sun here on the French Riviera. Whether it’s a second home, a permanent move, or a smart investment, we’ve guided thousands of buyers and sellers through the process with professionalism, care, and heart.
You’re from Sweden originally. How long have you lived on the Côte d’Azur?
I came to France when I was a student. I have been living and working on the French Riviera for 27 years now, and I believe that I know every little corner of this beautiful spot in the world.

Tell us a little about Rivierakeys’ team & what makes you different?
Our team consists of experienced real estate agents who have lived and worked in our region for a long time. What makes us different? For one, we truly understand international clients.

Where can we find your offices?
We’re based locally, with four offices, in Nice, Antibes, Cannes and in St Raphael. We have a staff of about 30 people.
Do you specialise in any specific kinds of properties?
We specialize in the kinds of properties that non-residents are looking for: lock-up-and-leave apartments, villas with sea views, renovation projects, and even quiet retreats just a little bit inland.
The price range of the properties we sell is very wide, from 300 000 euros up to six million, depending on the clients demands.
To what do you attribute your success in the property market in the South of France?
More than anything, we believe in building trust. Our reputation is built on long-term relationships — not quick deals. Many of our clients come back again, or recommend us to their friends and family.
