The Cannes Yachting Festival wrapped up its 47th edition on Sunday, September 14, after six days of sunshine and record-breaking figures that cemented its status as Europe’s leading in-water boat show.
This year’s event drew 56,000 visitors, nearly half from outside France, underscoring Cannes’ appeal as a global hub for the yachting industry. The cosmopolitan turnout reflected the Festival’s growing international prestige and its role as a showcase for innovation and luxury.
On display were 711 boats, ranging from sleek day cruisers to superyachts (of over 50 metres), spread between the Vieux Port next to the Palais and Port Canto near Palm Beach. Exhibitor numbers rose to 677, up nearly six percent from 2024, while the unveiling of 147 world premieres marked a sharp 22 percent increase, according to the Festival.
Organisers refined the Festival’s layout this year to enhance the visitor experience. At the Vieux Port, motorboats and luxury lifestyle brands took centre stage, while Port Canto was devoted to sailing, multihulls, and brokerage. The clearer sectorisation allowed guests to navigate more easily between different segments of the industry.

Sustainability and innovation were recurring themes. The popular Innovation Route spotlighted eco-responsible technologies, from solar energy and hybrid propulsion to alternative fuels and new approaches to yacht design. Exhibitors and startups used the platform to present their most forward-thinking projects aimed at reducing the sector’s environmental impact.
The Innovation Awards recognised several standouts: SEA.AI’s Watchkeeper safety system, the Modx 70 by MODX Catamarans, Milikan Boats’ electric M.10, and the sustainable Vaan R5 sailing yacht. The jury also presented a special prize to Benetti Yachts’ B.Yond 37M, acknowledging its influence in shaping the future of large yacht design.
This edition also marked a turning point in leadership. After more than a decade at the helm, Sylvie Ernoult is stepping down as Director, handing the reins to Constance Brément. Ernoult’s tenure has been credited with elevating the Festival’s international stature and driving its expansion.
As the sun set on the 2025 edition, organisers hailed the Festival’s momentum, pointing to rising attendance, a surge in world premieres, and an increasingly vital role in advancing sustainable yachting.
