Winners of the Cannes Film Festival 2025 Announced

The winners of the 78th Cannes Film Festival (Festival de Cannes) have been announced, with the top prize, the Palme d’Or going to ‘Un Simple Accident’ (It was just an Accident), a thriller directed by Jafar Panahi, and co-produced by Iran, France and Luxembourg.

The winners were chosen by Jury President, French actress Juliette Binoche and her jury which included American actress Halle Berry, ‘Succession’ actor Jeremy Strong, as well as film directors and producers from India, Mexico, Korea and other countries.

There were 22 films presented in Competition this year. These are the winners:
