French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte Macron will be making a State Visit to the Prince’s Palace of Monaco on Saturday afternoon, 7 June 2025. You can follow it live from 4.40pm here.
The president and his wife are on the French Riviera for the third United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC3) which is being hosted in Nice from Monday (9 June).
In a post on Facebook, the Palace said the principality and France have a strong bond of friendship with an open border. More than 40,000 French citizens cross the border each day to work in Monaco.
The two have also joined forces to protect the environment, with shared priorities. On top of that, Princess Charlene’s personal commitment to helping the youth, means that through her Foundation she works with many French institutions to help with drowning prevention, sports education and social inclusion.
The palace said Monaco and France cooperate in all fields from health to safety, culture to education. And both are focused on a future that is more sustainable.
The United Nations Ocean Conference runs from 9 to 13 June. Last night a record-breaking drone show was held in Nice – with 2,025 drones lighting up the sky above Promenade des Anglais. Tomorrow (Sunday) evening, the French president will be hosting several world leaders for a special dinner at the Negresco Hotel.
