Carros Strawberry Festival

If, like my daughter, you love to eat strawberries by the punnet, head to Carros for the Strawberry Festival at the end of April.

Strawberries from Carros are known for their super sweet taste. They are grown in the region of Carros behind Nice on the Côte d’Azur. You will recognize them by their unique flavour and juicy texture. The first harvest takes place between March and June so now is the best time to enjoy them.

According to Christophe Ferraro, strawberry producer in Carros:

“What makes the difference is the sunshine. In Carros the climate is perfect for strawberries. This allows us to have two seasons, the first one from March to June and the second from June until the first frost.”

There will be many family-friendly activities: face painting, gardening, bug discovery and fun challenges. You will also find a petting farm, merry-go-rounds and of course, strawberry tasting galore.
