An intimate exhibition of Princess Grace memorabilia is being held at the Princely Palace of Monaco.<\/p>\n

Grace #1 is an unprecedented homage to Princess Grace<\/strong>, the beautiful American actress – born Grace Patricia Kelly in 1929 – who became European royalty on 19 April 1956 when she married Prince Rainier of Monaco and became Princess Grace. She became one of the most legendary figures of the 20th century until her tragic passing in a motorcar accident in 1982.<\/p>\n

The organisers say: “If Grace Kelly (1929-1982) remains in the collective imagination an ideal of beauty touching on perfection, as much for the purity of her features, her divine blonde hair and her slender body as for her subtle acting that made her Hitchcock\u2019s mythical heroine and won her an Oscar for George Seaton\u2019s 1954 film Country Girl, it is a rarer and more authentic image that this exhibition seeks to convey.”<\/p>\n

The exhibition – Grace #1 – <\/strong>is being hosted in the Monaco Palace’s State Apartments:
\nPalais des Princes, 98015 Monaco<\/p>\n

DATES & OPENING HOURS:<\/strong><\/p>\n

5 July – 31 August 2025*:<\/strong> 10am to 6pm (The Palace closes at 7pm)
\n*11 July:<\/strong> Open from 3pm
\nThe Palace will be closed between July 18 and 20<\/strong>.
\n1 – 14 September 2025:<\/strong> 10am to 5pm (The Palace closes at 6pm)<\/p>\n

TICKET PRICES:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tickets are 10 euros, or 5 euros for children between 6 and 17, and students.
\nIt’s free for under 6 years old.<\/p>\n

What Grace Kelly belongings are included in the exhibit?<\/h2>\n

You’re invited to discover Princess Grace’s radiant and multi-faceted personality through a collection of original photographs, personal items (including glasses, gloves, hats, and of course the famous Kelly d\u2019Herm\u00e8s bag pictured below), jewellery and accessories… which together tell the heartfelt story of the woman behind the iconic image.<\/p>\n

According to the palace, the exhibit goes beyond the stereotype, revealing instead that Grace Kelly was a “sensitive, brilliant, courageous, and free-spirited figure”.<\/p>\n

To show Princess Grace’s nuances, emotions and quiet strength, the exhibition is divided into four themes:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • the young woman in her natural element, immortalised on the beaches of Jamaica;<\/li>\n
  • the everyday woman, elegant and discreet;<\/li>\n
  • the loving and attentive mother; and finally<\/li>\n
  • the amateur photographer and filmmaker, eager to preserve the precious memories and special moments from her family life.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The exhibit has been curated by Natalia Mlodzikowska (the Palace’s exhibition manager for the Collections Department) and guest artistic curator Marie-Eve Mestre. It is spread over 90m\u00b2, covering three rooms of the Palace, and draws mainly from the collections and archives from the palace.<\/p>\n

    Walking through the exhibit (on carpet to lessen the sound of steps) you will feel immersed in an environment of softness and elegance… with subdued lighting, velvet curtains, floral tapestry, rose fragrance, birdsong and more. A moment to pause and reflect.<\/p>\n

    The organisers say: “Far from being a chronological or exhaustive retrospective, \u201cGrace\u201d #1 is a sensitive, artistic exploration of an enduring figure, inviting visitors to step closer to the Princess\u2019s world while discovering life through her own lens.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
