According to the mayor&#8217;s office, Antibes has been selected for the Olympic Flame&#8217;s journey in recognition of &#8220;the sporting commitment of our city and its athletes&#8221;.<\/p>\n<h2>What route will the Olympic Flame take in Antibes?<\/h2>\n<p>The torchbearers will follow a coastal route from <strong>Pointe du Bacon to the Fort Carr\u00e9 stadium<\/strong>, passing along the newly inaugurated <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rivieraedition.com\/event\/inauguration-of-the-promenade-des-remparts-in-antibes\/\">Promenade des Remparts<\/a> where members of the public can watch from three places (at the intersection with the three perpendicular avenues). Members of the public can stand anywhere else along the route except for the Cap d&#8217;Antibes section from Salis.<\/p>\n<h2>What time will the Olympic Flame be welcomed to Antibes?<\/h2>\n<p>The event is expected to last 1 hour and 15 minutes, with the flame <strong>leaving Pointe du Bacon at 15h07 and arriving at Fort Carr\u00e9 stadium at 16h22<\/strong>. Guardians of the flame will surround the torchbearers.<\/p>\n<p>Please Note: parking will be forbidden along the entire route from the day before (17 June) at 06h00.<\/p>\n<p>The torch relay ends at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games, on 26 July 2024, where it will be used to light the Olympic cauldron.<\/p>\n<p><em>Image: Olympic torch lighting in Olympia, Greece.
