The ceremony will take place inMetz, in the Moselle region. <strong>UPDATE<\/strong>: <strong>FIND OUT THE <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rivieraedition.com\/new-michelin-star-restaurants-on-the-french-riviera\/\">NEW MICHELIN STAR RESTAURANTS ON THE FRENCH RIVIERA<\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To discover the full list of the new Michelin-recommended restaurants for 2025, you can <b>watch below (from 5pm on Monday)<\/b>, or look out for our news article on Riviera Edition where we\u2019ll list those on the French Riviera.<\/p>\n<h2>How was the Michelin Guide started?<\/h2>\n<p>The guide was begun in French town Clermont-Ferrand in 1889, when the Michelin brothers (Andre and Edouard) founded their internationally-famous tyre company, and decided to issue a little red guide packed with handy tips for travellers (including maps, how to change tyres and where to stop and eat) as a way of encouraging more motorists to take trips (and thereby boost their tyre sales), according to the Michelin <a href=\"https:\/\/guide.michelin.com\/th\/en\/history-of-the-michelin-guide-th\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It is now an institution, rating over 40,000 establishments in over 24 territories across three continents.
