Less than a two hour drive from the French Riviera, Auron is a welcoming family-friendly destination that welcomes visitors with its chalet-style architecture, and groomed tree-lined slopes. Its diverse terrain is suitable for skiers and snowboarders of different skill levels. But make sure you only venture off-piste with a qualified ski guide. Only just over an hour from Nice, this resort offers fabulous panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. With over 120 kilometers of slopes and a choice of 45 runs, skiers and snowboarders are sure to enjoy hours of fun. Auron will appeal equally to visitors who would like to experience the Snowpark or the Family Park. Easily accessible from the French Riviera, Valberg offers a year round day care centre<em> Cr\u00e8che P&#8217;tits Poucets<\/em> for children up to 5 years-old. With plenty of sunshine, this ski destination offers a wide range of winter activities, such as snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. You will be hard-pressed not to fall under the charm of Valberg&#8217;s fairy-tale setting, with its wooden chalets, friendly ambiance, and its amazing night sky which was recognized in December 2019 by IDA, the International Dark Sky Association, based in the United States. <br \/><strong>Insider tip<\/strong>: Buy your season ski pass early and you will get a 20% discount (260\u20ac for 5 to 15 year-olds and 520\u20ac for adults). Surrounded by the Maritime Alps, this is the place for you if you fancy a ski holiday full of Italian charm and fashion flair. Limone has it all, an extensive ski area for all winter activities, a skating rink, and the opportunity to indulge in delicious Italian cuisine. And for adrenaline junkies, you may even try your hand at snow kiting, similar to kite surfing but on the snow-covered slopes. To get here is easy, you can either drive or take the train, making it a great choice for your next winter getaway. It&#8217;s only a short 50 minute drive from Mougins, but be prepared for a windy and bendy road. There are many winter activities on offer when you get there. You can choose between alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, snow-shoeing or even try your hand at going down the slopes on a Snooc. The Snooc is a sled on a ski which you can rent in the late afternoon only, before taking the ski-lift up and sliding down the <em>Ecureuils<\/em> green run.
