The 2026 MICHELIN France & Monaco Guide was unveiled on 16 March 2026, at a historic ceremony in Monaco, the first time the awards ceremony has been held in the Principality. Eight restaurants on the French Riviera and Monaco received their first Michelin star (see list below).
Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo hosted an exceptional pre-awards Chefs’ Dinner on the eve of the awards, for 110 Michelin-starred chefs. Prince Albert II of Monaco and his wife Princess Charlene were in attendance, as well as Stéphane Valeri, CEO of Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, Gwendal Poullenec, International Director of the MICHELIN Guide, and other dignitaries.

The MICHELIN Guide France awarded 54 new restaurants around the country with 1-Star. Here are the eight new Michelin-star restaurants on the French Riviera, including Monaco:
Auberge de la Roche, VALDEBLORE – 1 Michelin Star
Set in the heart of the Mercantour National Park, this charming inn pairs mountain views with a refined, seasonal dining experience. Chef Louis-Philippe Riel focuses on creative, produce-led cuisine, with many ingredients sourced locally and everything prepared in-house. His menu changes daily, depending on what’s available at the market. Chef Riel highlights fresh, seasonal flavours with a precise, elegant touch. Natural wines and warm, attentive service complete the experience.

Restaurant Épicentre, NICE – 1 Michelin Star
Chef Selim M’Nasri grew up near to Épicentre, and trained for eight years at Blue Bay in Monaco, under Marcel Ravin, rising from commis to sous-chef. Today he says his culinary creations are influenced by the earth and the sea. Local produce, fish and vegetables dominate his dishes. Michelin describes his meals as “a delightful jolt for the taste buds”. Dining at Épicentre is a wonderfully immersive experience, as all the tables face the open kitchen. “This isn’t simply a taste or a creative experience,” Épicentre says on its site, “What we want above all is to leave an emotional mark on you.”

Les Oliviers, BANDOL – 1 Michelin Star
Overlooking the bay of Renécros, this bright and contemporary restaurant offers sweeping Mediterranean views, with sunsets as a daily highlight. In the kitchen, Martin and Fleur Feragus present refined multi-course menus rooted in Mediterranean and Provençal flavours, showcasing carefully sourced local produce. The cuisine leans towards seafood, prepared with precision and finesse, alongside select cuts of meat, while Fleur’s elegant desserts provide a polished finale. A strong sense of place and season defines the experience. “It is with immense joy that we have joined the prestigious family of Michelin-starred restaurants,” said Les Oliviers, adding that “this distinction recognizes the hard work of a dedicated team”.

L’Oursin – Hôtel Les Roches, LE LAVANDOU – 1 Michelin Star
Perched above the sea at the newly rebuilt Hôtel des Roches, l’Oursin offers sweeping views from Cap Nègre to the Îles du Levant. In the kitchen for the summer, Chef Antoine Gras brings a refined yet understated approach, focusing on exceptional local ingredients — from freshly caught fish in Le Lavandou to herbs and vegetables grown in his own garden. His cuisine balances simplicity and precision, letting each element shine through thoughtful combinations and classic techniques. Seasonal dishes, elegant desserts, and a strong sense of place define the experience. Chef Gras already has a Michelin Star under his belt, from La Table de l’Ours in Val d’Isère.

Robuchon, Monaco – 1 Michelin Star
Just one year after opening, Robuchon Monaco has been awarded a Michelin star, bringing Monaco’s total to 14 Michelin stars! “This is a wonderful recognition for the work of Chef Jonathan Larrieu and his team, whose exacting standards and passion proudly represent the Principality’s culinary scene,” Robuchon said on social media. Overlooking Boulevard du Larvotto and the Japanese Garden, this elegant Monaco address pays a subtle tribute to the legacy of great French Chef Joël Robuchon. The menu centres on classic French cuisine with Mediterranean influences, from delicate seafood to rich, traditional meat dishes, all accompanied by the signature Robuchon mashed potatoes. Polished execution and timeless flavours define the experience, with Le Petit Café Robuchon just opposite for a more casual experience.

Shanael, TOULON – 1 Michelin Star
Shanael was founded last year by Laëtitia and Anthony Denon. The name comes from a blend of their children’s names. The restaurant caters to “all lovers of natural and authentic flavours”. The couple say “we invite you on a culinary journey where plants reveal their full gastronomic richness”. Anthony was previously chef at Chantilly’s Jeu de Paume and the Baudelaire in Paris. Since setting up in the Bay of Toulon, he has been the talk of the town. Laëtitia warmly welcomes diners into the refurbished restaurant, formerly the Au Sourd, while Anthony thrills with his with his bold lineup of modern cuisine and firm commitment to sustainable sourcing. According to Shanael’s website, “seasonal vegetables and the finest proteins from France are carefully prepared to reveal all their nuances and subtleties.”

La Table du Cap Estel, EZE-BORD-DE-MER – 1 Michelin Star
The exquisite Cap Estel, one of the French Riviera’s best kept secrets, said: “We are proud to announce that our gourmet restaurant, La Table du Cap Estel, has just been awarded a Michelin star, only ten months after the arrival of our Chef, Kévin Garcia. This star is not an end point, but the starting point of a new era for our establishment. Congratulations to the Chef and his entire team for their exceptional work.” Cap Estel was acquired by LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault last year. The Michelin Guide describes Garcia’s dishes as “an ode to seafood, garden herbs, and the finest local vegetables.”

La Table de Pierre, SAINT-PAUL-DE-VENCE – 1 Michelin Star
Situated in an open-air verandah, surrounded by a gorgeous garden at luxury hotel Mas de Pierre, La Table de Pierre offers a set menu that is natural and plant-based. Guests can enjoy gourmet cuisine and Provençal flavours in an elegant and peaceful atmosphere. La Table de Pierre reopened on 10 March, 2026 and is open Tuesday to Saturday evenings from 19:00 to 22:30.

Café des Musiciens, NICE
Famously offering farm-to-table market-fresh cuisine, Café des Musiciens’ menu is centred around what’s in season. “Seasonality and quality produce are at the heart of our restaurant,” say Charlotte Léon and Christopher Edwards on their website, adding they’re “proud to work with local producers and artisans”. Christopher – who hails from Adelaide, Australia – creates the dishes, which the Michelin Guide calls hearty and unpretentious, while his wife Charlotte serves them, along with natural wines. They used to work at Le Saint-Sébastien in Paris, before the call of the sea brought them to the French Riviera. Located in the Musicians’ Quarter, the restaurant is open Tuesday to Friday for lunch and Thursday to Saturday for dinner.
