This summer is set to be easier for those who love the French Riviera AND beautiful Greek islands. easyJet recently announced that it is opening a new exclusive route between Nice and Santorini in Greece in June 2025, allowing Côte d’Azur residents to discover the beauty of Greece’s Cyclades more easily. easyJet already offers direct flights from Nice to Mykonos (which is also in the Cyclades group of islands) and Athens.
The new direct flight from Nice to Santorini will take just 2 hours and 40 minutes, shaving almost 2 hours off than the next quickest flight between the destinations.
easyJet will be offering two flights per week, on Wednesdays and Sundays, starting 25 June 2025. The one-way price per person (including airport taxes and handling fees) starts at €40.
Santorini is famous for its beautiful white-washed houses, nightlife, stunning landscape, steep cliffs and black and red sand beaches, a result of a volcano in the 16th century BC. (The island was rocked by thousands of minor earthquakes more recently – between late January and 22 February – but has recovered and is open for tourism again according to Greece’s tourism minister who said prevention and security measures have been implemented. “Santorini remains a safe and well-organized destination, ready to welcome visitors from around the world,” she said.)
Other new destinations to be served by easyJet from Nice include Düsseldorf (Germany) which starts on 24 June, and Lamezia Terme (Italy) which begins on 23 June.
Together with the new Nice to Santorini service, it brings the number of destinations served by easyJet from Nice to 50, which is a record!
According to an easyJet press release, the airline is now the largest in Nice and the second-largest in France.
Reginald Otten, easyJet’s Deputy Managing Director for France, said in a statement: “As the leading regional airline in France outside Paris, we are continuing our efforts to offer the best network from Nice with experiences that are as attractive as they are unforgettable for the millions of Côte d’Azur residents who place their trust in us each year.”
EasyJet started its operations in Nice in 1996 and in 2023, over 4.6 million passengers were transported to and from Nice!
Tickets are on sale now for the new route.
