The Cannes International Series Festival kicks off today, 24 April 2025, and will see a host of local and international TV stars, including Bridgerton’s Nicola Coughlan, walking the PINK carpet at the famous Palais until Tuesday 29 April.
The 6-day event includes an official Competition, a Short Form Competition, and a Docuseries Competition, as well as several Out of Competition screenings. Between screenings, visitors can also attend the Rendez-Vous discussions (although these are mainly in French).
Cannes Series Opening Ceremony – The Agency
The Opening Ceremony this evening will feature a screening of the first two episodes from the hit show The Agency, directed by Joe Wright and starring Michael Fassbender, Richard Gere, Jodie Turner Smith, Katherine Waterston and Jeffrey Wright. The US espionage show is based on Le Bureau des Légendes.
