Cannes Rolls Out the PINK Carpet for Cannes Series 2025

The Cannes International Series Festival kicks off today, 24 April 2025, and will see a host of local and international TV stars, including Bridgerton’s Nicola Coughlan, walking the PINK carpet at the famous Palais until Tuesday 29 April.

The 6-day event includes an official Competition, a Short Form Competition, and a Docuseries Competition, as well as several Out of Competition screenings. Between screenings, visitors can also attend the Rendez-Vous discussions (although these are mainly in French).

Cannes Series Opening Ceremony – The Agency

The Opening Ceremony this evening will feature a screening of the first two episodes from the hit show The Agency, directed by Joe Wright and starring Michael Fassbender, Richard Gere, Jodie Turner Smith, Katherine Waterston and Jeffrey Wright. The US espionage show is based on Le Bureau des Légendes.

The festival includes series from Korea, France and other European countries, the US, New Zealand and Canada. Here are some of the highlights for an English-speaking audience:

You can book here for up to 4 tickets per screening. All tickets are digital. Please note: Booking a ticket online does not guarantee you a seat in the theater. Seats are available to all, on a first-come first-served basis, subject to availability.

The series are screened in their original version, subtitled in French and English when necessary.
